And Robinhood's wild idea
TOGETHER WITH
Hey there weekday warrior,
Zuck is partying like itâs 2009.
Enjoy the next 4 minutes and 21 seconds of blue-chip news and commentary.
Keep on snapping necks and cashing checks,
Friend request
It's been a huge week for people who know how to draw that one âSâ, watched MTV's TRL after school, and still remember what Hollister smelled like...
First, Napster sold for $207M. And, now, Facebook $META ( âź 5.06% ) is kicking it old school (no, it isn't mainlining your data to Cambridge Analytica... probably).
Zuck announced the launch of the Friends tab. That's right, a dedicated feed where you can just check in with and connect with people you actually know. It will only showcase connections and cut out all the recommended content (but not the ads⌠definitely not the ads).
For those of you whose birth year starts with a 2, this might come as a surprise. But to everyone who needs to take Baby Aspirin, this should remind them of OG FacebookâŚ
You might recall from the first half of 'Social Network' that Jesse Eisenberg built THE Facebook to connect college students at Harvard. That quickly spread like a venereal disease to other campuses and eventually the rest of the world.
Somewhere along the way, Zuck and Co. lost sight of the original mission, and your Facebook feed became a cesspool of ads, Farmville invites, racist videos, and updates from kids you went to high school with slinging essential oils.
With users flocking IG and TikTok, Zuck took drastic steps. In October, the 'book launched a Gen Z re-design.
Zuckerbot teased this return to OG Facebook during the company's Q4 call.
Ok, now do the poke button.
BOXABLâs round on StartEngine is closing tomorrow
Most houses take seven months to complete. BOXABL can put one out of the assembly line every four hours, including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing. The company is raising funds and has made shares available to the public, but the round is closing soon on StartEngine.
The company already has two home models and is developing a 20x30 and 20x40 home as part of their phase 2 plan.
Currently, shares are being offered at $0.80 per share. With a $1,000 minimum investment, you can join 40,000 investors to help solve the housing crisis.
Time is running out, TOMORROW is the last day to invest in BOXABL on StartEngine.
Disclosure: This is a paid advertisement for Boxablâs Regulation A offering. Please read the offering circular here. This is a message from Boxabl

+ An idea so crazy⌠it probably wonât workâŚ
Vlad Tenev just revealed Robinhoodâs $HOOD ( âź 9.8% ) new master plan: become the Amazon $AMZN ( âź 4.15% ) Prime of finance. HOOD will be adding all sorts of new perks for $5 per month Gold subscribers like fee-based wealth management, private banking, andâŚwait for it⌠Carvana-like cash delivery to your doorstep. Robinhood will literally back up the Brinkâs truck for youâŚ
But it isnât just financial services. Gold subs are about to get perked out of control. Think: access to PJ-travel, 5-star hotels, and Coachella tix.
Vladâs POV: âsubscriptions are about loyalty.â To be fair, this dude knows a thing or two about loyalty⌠to Ken Griffin. And honestly, itâs not a terrible planâŚ
Even with the current useless starter perks, Robinhood Gold subs have already doubled YoY to 3.2M with at least $100M in annual recurring revenue.
+ Peyton Manning just scored a minority (read: 10%) investment for his media company Omaha Productions. As if Eli didnât feel inadequate enough already. Omahaâs built a solid track record with Netflix $NFLX ( âź 6.67% ), Disney $DIS ( âź 5.98% ), and Comcast $CMCSA ( âź 6.55% ) NBCUniversal shows, plus the ManningCast. The new cash comes from Patrick Whitesellâs new PE-backed entertainment platform. That 10% stake values Omaha at over $750M.
+ Ubisoft $UBI ( 0.0% ) is spinning off a new subsidiary dedicated to Assassinâs Creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six, fueled by a $1.25B investment from Chinese company Tencent $TENCENT ( 0.0% ). And theyâll probably release ten new games before we get GTA VI.
+ Bear markets mean your wife starts wearing Amazon Basics brand leggings. Lululemon $LULU ( Ⲡ3.15% ) shares sagged after it dropped a p*ss poor outlook (a mere $11.2B) for the year.
+ OpenAI had to limit image generation after Sam said the new feature started âmeltingâ GPUs (*Nvidia sales team has entered the chat*). The X replies are priceless.
+ CoreWeave plans to IPO on the Nasdaq today. Itâll kick things off at $40 per share, which is below the expected range. Make IPOs Great Again.

+ US stocks âfell on Thursday as investors weighed the latest tariff-related news from President Donald Trump, including his new tariffs aimed at foreign automakers.â (CNBC)
+ The 10-year yield âticked higher on Thursday as investors weighed fresh tariffs on foreign automakers and assessed the broader state of the U.S. economy.â (CNBC)
+ Oil âprices edged higher on Thursday as traders assessed a tightening of crude supplies along with new U.S. tariffs and their expected effect on the worldâs economy.â (Reuters)
+ The three most talked about stocks on WallStreetBets in the past 24 hours were: 1) Visa +5.6% 2) Nvidia -2.3% 3) Hims & Hers Health -1.4%

⪠YesterdayâŚ
+ Lululemon reported after hours
⊠Today weâre keeping an eye onâŚ
+ The European Central Bank will release its Consumer Expectations Survey
+ Newsmax IPOs
+ The core PCE price index report for February will be released

Yesterday, I asked, âDoes 'Severance' live up to the hype?â
54.4% of you answered Yes. Fine, Iâll get it on the calendar.
Hereâs what some of you guys had to sayâŚ
Yes. Go watch it.: âItâs like the Matrix and Inception had a baby in âThe Officeâ format. Pure genius.â
Nah: âSome seriously austere and creepy shanizzâ
Yes. Go watch it.: âFirst season sets out an incredibly cool concept with some intrigue. Second season goes totally bananasland. Unlike anything that's ever been made before and Britt Lower is a smokeâ
Nah: âIâm a poor, I donât have apple+â
It's worth watching, but you should watch [x] first (you better tell me what x is): âStep Brothers - I think it's the prequel for Adam Scott's character in the showâ
And hereâs todayâs questionâŚ
Zuck apparently bought the shirt Jesse Eisenberg wore when playing him in âSocial Networkâ soâŚ

Wait, what?

Does this look like the face of a guy you should take financial advice from?

No, itâs the face of an individual who is financially irresponsible/dumb enough to be talked into spending money on a family photo shoot that he could have just done with his iPhone. So, act accordingly...
